Florida boasts over 1,100 golf courses that play host to over nearly 48 million rounds annually, with 33% by out of state visitors, 14% by non-local Florida residents, and 54% by local residents.

The Florida Sports Foundation supports the state’s 12 sports-based specialty license plates. A portion of each tag fee goes either to your team’s designated youth charity, is given out in grants by the Florida Sports Foundation to support sporting events across the state, and helps support the Sunshine State Games and other sports development opportunities.

It’s easy to understand why Florida is a top destination for watersports. Florida has more than 7,800 lakes, 8,426 miles of shoreline and 1,711 rivers and streams site on a 500-mile long peninsula from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean.
